Vidar VXR 12 SCSI Setup. March 21, 2007 09:54. I have a systems with software but no scsi card. I would like to know if anyone has the set up instructions and specifications for the card. The SCSI Port driver streamlines the Windows storage subsystem by emulating a simplified SCSI adapter. Storage class drivers load on top of the port driver. This means that you can write storage class drivers for Windows with minimal concern for the unique hardware features of each SCSI adapter.

My Vidar Truscan Select P-75 engineering scanner has not been used in a couple of years and my pc's have been replaced with new ones. I am running win XP pro sp2. The scanner was originally purchased with an adaptec 2930 scsi card. The vidar website has a software and firmware download for older models but I'm trying to find out what scsi card would be recommended. The original scsi cable had a 50 pin connection.
